CHATTING WITH OTHER MEMBERS
In the instructions for 'Viewing Other Profiles' we briefly touched on the chat function on the Facilitated Communication Interactive Community website. This is a great tool that will allow all users to have private conversations with one another at any time they like.
For more details on how to use the chat function, please read through the steps below.
From any page on the Facilitated Communication Interactive Community website, click on the dark grey circle icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. This will trigger the chat box to pop open.
With the chat box open, you will be able to see a list of chat conversations you have had in the past, sorted by member name, and you should also be able to see a dark grey button at the bottom of the chat box that says '+ New Chat'. When you click the '+ New Chat' button, a list of all the members you can have a conversation with will appear.
To start a chat with someone, search for their name in the search bar at the top of the chat box and then click their name.
The chat box will now show the user's name that you wish to speak to, and will have space down the bottom that says 'Type your message'.
Use this section to type out your message and press enter to send.
That's it! Now that you know how to use the chat function, have fun chatting with your fellow members.
